These Pieces are part of The Louche(لوچه)collection, which means crooked lips in Persian.
The source of inspiration is from the Persian Tradition of using bowls as drinking vessels, and historical architectural references to geometry, words and thoughts.
Morvarid believes her work with metal is the performative way and exaggeration of emotion to bring shapes to metal.
she tries to absorb these writing, thoughts, and shapes into the metal using traditional techniques.
She is using the act of destruction as a creation to manipulate the shape of the bowl. In addition, she uses the quality of silver, of being reflective to reflect on herself and their surroundings.
She is still developing this collection. Also, She gets a commission and for further information or enquiries, you can contact her.

The purpose of this project is for me to understand traditional silversmithing and learn about its practicality, which is the best way for me to grasp the movement.
For me, making things feels like performing. In a performance, you can feel emotions, and for me, working with silver is like capturing my feelings and emotions in metal, giving it a hidden essence. It's as if the object I create shapes itself with my emotions and holds onto them.
I'm drawn to working with metal because of its unique qualities - it's both hard and soft, it can move smoothly or stay still. I can relate to this metal, and it allows me to express myself.
My inspiration began when I visited Isfahan, a city in Iran known for its metalwork. I was fascinated by the wall paintings, many of which depicted jugs and bowls for drinking. It made me question the way tradition disappeared and was replaced by something else, and I wanted to bring this back in my own way, using silver as my canvas. I engrave my thoughts and processes onto the metal sheet. By hammering and engraving, they become part of the piece, and I want to reintroduce a sense of movement in the way we handle them.
