Service Description

In this three-hour workshop, participants will explore an introduction to Fold Forming, a creative metalsmithing technique that uses folding, cutting, hammering, and heat to transform flat sheet metal into dynamic three-dimensional forms. You will begin by practising the technique in copper, learning how metal responds to shaping and texture. Using these newly acquired skills, you will then create your own handmade bangle, adding textures and surface details to make a unique piece that you can enjoy wearing every day. No previous experience is required, and all materials are provided. Participants will first create a small fold-formed sample in copper to learn the technique before applying their skills to craft their final bangle in sterling silver. Open to ages 16 and over (participants under 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult), this hands-on workshop encourages creativity, experimentation, and playful learning while introducing the fascinating possibilities of working with metal.
